*A Call to Uphold God's Morality in our City*

Petition made by: **Families & Citizens of Shreveport**

**WHO STAND FOR: **

**God's Biblical testimony of truth that ALL TIME is given and governed by Him, the Creator and Sustainer of the Universe, therefore JUNE and ALL MONTHS ARE “GOD'S MONTHS”** (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 10:14, Psalm 24:1, Job 41:11) **and NO TIME is rightly declared “LGBTQ+ Pride Month" because God is against sexual sin, but in 2022 our Shreveport City Council voted for the resolution unanimously.**

** By singing this petition, we unite as ONE VOICE in Shreveport as citizens who RENOUNCE the 2022 “June LGBTQ+PRIDE Month" Resolution and HEREBY DECLARE “June FAMILY MONTH" perpetually, as a righteous response to the breach that today is still producing negative consequences. **

**For MARRIAGE is given as God’s covenant of grace for man's well-being and *the spiritual and sexual union of one man (husband) and one woman (wife) which is ordained by God and established by Him to produce godly offspring (children) to be raised up in families and fulfill His purposes in the earth** (Malachi 2:15, Proverbs 22:6).

**We remind our city officials of God's Highest Sovereign Order and their duty to uphold His Moral Law and the Family Structure, which He instituted to safeguard children and ensure a city remain under His moral blessing of protection instead of sin's rightful consequence of judgment** (Genesis 1:26-28, Romans 13:1, Psalm 127:1).

In addition to the Word of God affirming God's sovereignty, all our American founding documents declare Almighty God as the source and provider of our personal and collective rights and freedoms as witnessed to in: the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights and we hereby reaffirm today in the words of our Louisiana State Constitution and Preamble that:

**“We, the people of Louisiana, (are) grateful to Almighty God for the civil, political, economic, and religious liberties we enjoy..." and desire to stay in His graces and blessings as a city kept by God.**

**SO, WE OFFICIALLY STAND AGAINST: **

**The 2022 Shreveport City Council Resolution that declared June "LGBTQ+ Pride Month" (Genesis 1:27, Genesis 2:20-24, Proverbs 16:18, 1 Corinthians 6:9, Genesis 18:20-21 & 19:24-25) and the "fruit of that resolution" which increased the scope and number of LGBTQ+ Pride events taking place in our city today promoting a sexually-driven mission and the resulting rise in entertainment for it **(1 Corinthians 5: 6-8).

**The resolution’s false narrative of “protection and equal rights” has allowed a small fraction of our cities population to impose their sexual preferences and confusion on the broader community, undermining the religious freedoms and moral conscience of the vast majority of Shreveport American citizens who stand in fear of God, in honor of His Word and in alignment with Judeo-Christian values and the Biblical institution of "marriage and family" that’s foundational for a moral society** (1 Corinthians 6:18, Romans 2:15, 1 John 3:19-21, Proverbs 22:6, 1 Corinthians 6:18).

**We ask that our governing authorities curtail the following LGBTQ+ Pride events happening NOW in our city seeking to normalize an immoral sexual lifestyle in Shreveport, compromising the integrity of our city parks and institutions, as well as the safety and innocence of our children, families and communities** (Psalm 127:1, 1 Corinthians 6:9).

1) **"Field Gay"** -**This event openly promotes LGBTQ+ Pride in our neighborhood parks attempting to draw in the young and impressionable into a gay+ sex lifestyle. **

**-Such gatherings are falsely portrayed as harmless fun, yet they cloak a lifestyle of serious sin against God and one’s own body leading to both natural and spiritual Consequences and Conviction, not “shame or unjust treatment towards them by society". **

**-This is how the 2022 Resolution falsely portrayed the LGBTQ+ Pride "need" for a celebratory month in our city which has been used to increase sexually immoral entertainment NOT EQUAL RIGHTS ** (1 Corinthians 6:18, Romans 2:15, 1 John 3:19-21, Proverbs 22:6, 1 Corinthians 6:18).

2) **"Queer Prom"** - **This event invites 16-YEAR-OLD MINORS to attend an Adult LGBTQ+ Pride party where the gay+ sex lifestyle is celebrated as a focus. **

**-This is predatory baiting of innocent minors and should be an illegal act if it is not already **(Matthew 18:6-7).

3) **Drag Shows **- **Over Nine+ drag shows are promoted this 2025 as "entertaining ways to celebrate LGTBQ+ PRIDE" in Shreveport. These events showcase men and women dressing up in clothes of the opposite sex and behaving provocatively.**

**-This sexual perversion of God’s natural order and identity of men and women should not be promoted by City Council Resolutions, when in fact it is a high state of complete confusion ** (Genesis 1:27, Isaiah 5:20, Romans 1:28).

**God’s Word condemns such acts in cities as demonstrated in the historical account of His judgment against Sodom and Gomorrah, where the cities’ sexual sin brought the consequence of both cities’ COMPLETE DESTRUCTION** (Psalm 127:1, Genesis 18:20-21 & 19:24-25).

**As highlighted above, our current trajectory in Shreveport is disregarding God’s divine moral law on this matter and the warning found in it, which if not reversed, will lead to generations lost to sexual sin and God's ultimate judgment of our city for the consequences of sin are spiritual, moral and physical death** (2 Chronicles 7:14).

**By signing this petition, we acknowledge God as the Supreme Judge and Authority over Shreveport and we present His Biblical Word AS FACT that JUNE & ALL MONTHS ARE “GOD'S MONTHS” and there is NO TIME that is given to us by God that is not governed by His Truth, Holy Spirit and Divine Moral Law** (Ezekiel 3:17-19) **and as a city we desire to live in His grace and blessings. **

**So, in an effort to RESTORE RIGHTEOUS PRIDE & Dignity back to Shreveport, Families and the Month of June, WE hereby DECLARE (by our own declaration) "June FAMILY Month" perpetually. This will begin to realign our city with God's Commandments and Promises to heal, prosper and protect us with His WALL OF FAMILY more firmly supported and in place as a protection against harm and temptations to our children **(2 Chronicles 7:14, Exodus 20:2-17, Deuteronomy 5:6-21, Proverbs 29:2).

**Lastly we caution our elected officials to please act in alignment with the Moral Mandate bestowed on them by God and their constituents, to use the authority given to make right decisions that will morally prosper Shreveport, not bring our city under judgment.
