This is a petition to Meta to REMOVE Ethel Cain's (@mothercain) Instagram post that violates the terms and conditions. This post has been reported many times yet Meta refuses to take it down. No one should be unwillingly subjected to male nudity under the guise of "inclusiveness" and "empowerment" on a platform that otherwise restricts nudity for all, as it should.
Meta's Community Standards on Adult Nudity and Sexual Activity explicitly prohibit the display of real photographs showing visible genitalia, anuses, or close-ups of fully nude buttocks on Instagram and Facebook. Ethel Cain's fully nude photo, which depicts visible male genitalia in a photorealistic image, directly violates this rule. Exceptions are narrowly limited to contexts like breastfeeding, post-mastectomy scarring, health/medical situations, acts of protest, or classical art such as paintings and sculptures—none of which apply to a contemporary celebrity selfie-style nude shared on a personal profile.
Consistent enforcement of these policies promotes fairness by ensuring the same standards apply to all users regardless of fame, artistic intent claims, or cultural buzz. It also enhances safety on the platform by reducing unwanted exposure to explicit content for a diverse global audience (including minors and those sensitive to such material), while helping prevent the normalization of boundary-pushing that could blur lines around non-consensual or exploitative sharing. Removing the post upholds Meta's commitment to a safer, more predictable environment rather than allowing selective leniency that undermines trust in the rules.
