President Reagan may be the first GOP backed President to refer to our republic as a democracy.

For decades, our schools have made reference to "republics" as if our republic can be likened to any other. It cannot!

Somehow, the notion that we are a democracy stuck. However, no one can possibly explain how our republic can be described or referred to as a democracy? Your thoughts?
